LOCAL FIRE INFORMATION

How do you evacuate a wildfire?

Arizona Wildfire Response:       https://ein.az.gov/ready-set-go

EVACUATION CHECKLISTS:      FOR PARENTS.      FOR CHILDREN.

You should know the evacuation route and plan a place where you will go. Make sure everyone in your family knows your meeting place ahead of time. Let your family and friends who do not live in your area know your meeting place. Keep your car fueled and keep an emergency supply bag in your car.

If you have time, shut all windows and doors, leaving them unlocked. Remove flammable window shades, curtains and close metal shutters. Remove lightweight curtains. Move flammable furniture to the center of the room, away from windows and doors.

Regarding pets, contact local veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, local animal shelters, family or friends outside the evacuation area, or a pet-friendly hotel, particularly along evacuation routes.  Visit the Humane Society to find a shelter in your area.

BONITA CREEK RESOURCES

The community of Bonita Creek is very fortunate to our own fire station that houses 2 fire trucks at the ready.  Our community has also been awarded 2, 50k gallon water bladders and a 10k gallon  helicopter dip tank that are all located at the entrance of Bonita Creek.  We recently also had the Tonto National Forest Service thin our surrounding community's forest as a preventative measure for any future fires.   We are also blessed to have some of the most experienced fire crews in the state of Arizona.  As always, please do your part as a community home owner to fire wise your property.

Thank you.
